Speer IT, the Dutch market leader in fibre network registration and management software, today announces a strategic partnership with Lexar Partners. The specialised technology investor acquires a stake in Speer IT to support the company’s next phase of growth. The partnership will focus on accelerating international expansion, driving further product innovation and strengthening the organisation, while preserving the strong customer relationships and deep industry expertise that define Speer IT.
For more than 25 years, Speer IT has developed mission-critical software that enables telecom operators, network owners and contractors to register, manage and optimise their fibre infrastructure. Through solutions such as Cocon Fiber and Cocon The Web, Speer IT provides organisations with visibility and control over complex physical networks. With more than 7 million connected addresses and over 1.5 million kilometres of registered cable, Speer IT holds a leading market position in the Netherlands. Its software is also used by a growing number of organisations across other European countries. The company employs approximately 50 people.

In addition, Speer IT will invest in the continued development and innovation of its software platform, with a particular focus on functionality, user experience and scalability, ensuring its solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of customers. To support these ambitions, Speer IT will soon strengthen its management team with the appointment of an experienced CTO.
