OpenUp Group sells iPractice business unit to Smile Invest

Lexar Partners realises first successful (partial) exit within portfolio
Lexar Partners proudly announces the successful sale of iPractice, a leading provider of mental health care and until recently part of the OpenUp Group. Investment company Smile Invest has acquired a majority stake in iPractice, with which Lexar Partners realises its first (partial) exit.
Innovative player in mental health care
iPractice, founded in 2018, has positioned itself in a short time as an innovative player in Dutch mental health care. The company focuses on the treatment of common psychological complaints such as anxiety disorders, depression and personality problems. Through a hybrid care model — in which physical intakes are combined with digital continuation of treatment — iPractice is able to realise a significantly higher treatment capacity per psychologist than traditional mental health care providers. With approximately 200 psychologists and over 12,000 clients per year, iPractice has developed into a mature, profitable organisation with ten physical locations and a market-conform margin.
Further growth Openup
Lexar Partners will remain a co-shareholder of the remaining activities of Openup. OpenUp offers online mental health care to employees of various companies and expects further strong growth in Europe in the coming years.
